I agree with your thoughts about lack of toleration found in religions. As well, I, too, have heard people make similar statements about those that have strong faith seem to have worked out some issues.
I agree with your final thoughts about religion provide a kind of succorance to people, especially youth.

Pretty creative. I thought I was listening to K-Billy's Sounds of the 70s as it appeared on Reservoir Dogs. I like the point you made at the end, Junghyun, when you said that religion helps people manage a crisis. Or at least in some way make sense of it.
Interesting family arrangement; half-Christian and half-atheist. I tend to lean towards your interpretation I guess. I still pray (but not to the God I was told to believe in).
